Eyecare Services

Our Quality

Your examination will be performed completely by Dr. Zuba and not by office personnel as you may have experienced in other offices. Dr. Zuba not only provides friendly and quality service but is also certified in diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and injury.

Regular Eye Examinations: A routine eye examination is more than determining the proper eyeglass or contact lens prescription. Our eye examination consists of equipment that is the latest in technology. It allows us to check the health of your eyes and look for any changes in them. We’ll measure the acuity of your vision and your ability to see color. We’ll check the muscles that move the eye, and test your peripheral vision. Dr. Zuba will discuss the best prescription options for your eyes and your lifestyle.

Digital Retinal Photography : Digital retinal photography provides a high-definition view of your retina, optic nerve and all of the blood vessels of the retina. The image can be zoomed for even closer inspection, and manipulated in various ways to show details that cannot be seen by using conventional methods. It also allows the doctor to study the retina as a whole rather than in several smaller views.

Digital retinal photography is recommended for all our patients. A baseline should be established to keep as a permanent photographic reference of your eye health. We can review it and use it as a comparison when you come back on your next eye exam.

Automated Refraction System: We use an Automated Refraction System. Compared to the standard manual eye equipment (i.e., "Which is better, one or two?), the fully Automated Refraction System is a faster, accurate, and patient-friendly method of performing eye exams. One of the most beneficial aspects of Automated Refraction System is its ability to compare a patient's vision in three ways: (1) without correction, (2) using a previous prescription, or (3) using the new prescription, with a single touch of a button. This comparison helps our patients more readily accept a change in prescription, as they see their vision improve immediately.

Computerized Eye Chart: No longer will you be looking down the end of the room at an eye chart projected by an old projector. Experience the new computer eye chart that not only displays the testing letters more accurately but also able to demonstrate different eye conditions and eyeglass lens options.

Glaucoma Screenings: As part of your regular exam, we’ll perform a quick, painless, state-of-the-art test to check you for glaucoma, a disease that can damage the optic nerve and lead to blindness. Glaucoma usually develops without symptoms so you don’t usually realize that you have it. Early diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma can help preserve your eyesight.

Diagnosis and Treatment of Ocular Disease and Injury: Minor injuries or an eye infection can cause serious damage to your eyesight. Dr. Zuba is therapeutically certified to diagnose and treat many eye diseases and can provide appropriate referral if necessary. can educate you about treatment for dry eyes and eye strain, and about the importance of eye exams.
